Takes place on the journey from Klendathu to Earth. After escaping a showdown on Klendathu, the Bug Queen is speeding towards Earth. The Valley Forge tracks down her Super Transport Bugs and blows it up. But Jenkins realizes it was just a decoy and the Queen's real transport is only two days from landing on Earth, so the Roughnecks sneak aboard the Super Transport bug and destroy it. The mission appears to be a success, but back on Earth Jenkins realizes the Bug Queen has survived.
