The Terran Council was the ruling body of the United Citizen Federation. After facing aggression from the Arachnids, the council finally authorized military action against this foe, with a declaration of war.
This saw the Mobile Infantry being assembled and an assault launched on the Arachnid homeworld of Klendathu. After the establishment of the Arachnid Quarantine Zone in 2352, the Terran Council refused to acknowledge any settlements made in the region. However, a rogue colony on Dantana sent a distress signal in 2370 and the Terran Council authorized military intervention to rescue the colonists.
