The Mobile Infantry troopers use Tactical Oxygen Nukes as rocket-propelled nuclear missiles or hand grenades. One such weapon was employed to destroy a Plasma Bug during the Invasion of Klendathu and Rico used another to nuke a Bug hole in Raid on Tango Urilla. Additionally, Rico threatened a Brain Bug with a third nuke during Invasion of Planet P, with Sugar Watkins staying behind with the nuke and detonating it in an act of self sacrifice to give Rico, Ace, and Carmen time to escape.
