The M2 Trojan Horse is the capsule used by the cap troopers from Mobile Infantry to drop directly on planets or any other body by being shot from a dropship in orbit.
It was designed with several layers, each of which protects the trooper against re-entry, but also peels off in chunks to create radar "noise" to mask the drop. The innermost "egg" holds the trooper immobile through the drop and is discarded at the trooper's command.
Before discarding the capsule, the trooper is wrapped like a mummy against the accelerations, barely able to breathe. The inside of the capsule filled with nitrogen.
