Lieutenant Link Manion was a trooper in Mobile Infantry and a member of Johnny Rico's unit.
History[]
Link was present on Roku San base along with her teammates when Sky Marshal Omar Anoke arrived. Apparently, she was Anoke's fan, but Johnny warned her not to ask for an autograph, otherwise he'd kill her — obviously not said as anything particularly serious. When the Bugs broke through the electric field around the base, Link stood with Johnny and their teammates. They were in the command center when a Bombardier Bug flew in and a trooper sacrificed himself to contain its explosion. Then a Scorpion Bug attacked them and caused the roof to cave in on them, though they survived. Link was one of the few Roku San survivors. The loss of Roku San was blamed on Johnny, but he was saved at the last minute from hanging by Dix Hauser. He asked Johnny to save Anoke's group from OM-1 and gave him seven M11 Babar mechs for the mission. Johnny picked his team and they became the Marauder Team. Because the hardware would be directly linked to their nervous systems, the technicians had them strip naked for a scan. Link joined the attack on OM-1 along with her teammates. They attacked Behemecoatyl and killed many Bugs, saving Captain Lola Beck and Holly Little. Starship Troopers 3: Marauder
