"Fighters" are manned attack aircraft that are dropped from larger ships within the planetary atmosphere.
History[]
First seen in the episode "Basic Training", Ibanez and Barcalow pilot fighters dropped from the Valley Forge to engage flying bugs that are attacking ground units.
Each of the fighter's are armed with air to air missiles and machine guns.
Fighters are operated by a single pilot, but there is space for at least one more person behind the pilot. This is seen when Ibanez boards Barcalow's fighter after having crashed hers.

- When flying the fighters, Ibanez uses the callsign "Eagle One," while Barcalow uses "Big Dog."
