Federation Marine Corps
|Marines in Roku San|
Support, rescue and defense
The Marines are a small force of infantry troopers from Federation Marine Corps assigned to defend Fleet ships and installations. They carry the same standard issue weapons as the Mobile Infantry, and well as maintaining the same Rank structure, however unlike the M.I. the Marine Core goes under the command of Fleet.
Starship Troopers 3: MarauderEdit
For Sky Marshal Omar Anoke's visit to a Federal base on Roku San, Marines were assigned to guarding him. When landed at Roku San, the Sky Marshal inspected the base with an M.I escort whilst his Marine guards stayed with the Admiral's Boat. During this time, however, the base's defenses failed, flooding it with Arachnid Warrior Bugs, and Anoke's Marine guards went out in search for the Sky Marshal, eventually finding him along with General Dix Hauser. Anoke was then escorted safely from the planet to the Geronimo.
When the Geronimo was later hit by bug plasma Captain Lola Beck insists the Sky Marshal abandon ship, and ordered the Marines to meet up with and escort the Sky Marshal to the Admiral's Boat. The Marines, however, were unable to reach the Sky Marshal and abandoned ship on the Admirals Boat, whereas the Sky Marshal used an escape pod.
The Marines aboard the Admirals Boat were all suffocated on route to OM-1 due to a air leak. Their bodies and the Admiral's Boat were later found by the survivors of the Geronimo.
Starship Troopers: Invasion franchiseEdit
- Main article: Elite Guard
All remaining marines aboard the John A. Warden were killed when the Queen Bug took control of the ship; the bodies of several of them later being found in the ship's engine room alongside Warrior Bug corpses. All marines aboard the Alesia were later killed when the Queen used energy weaponry to destory the ship.
The Marines wear very similar uniforms to the Mobile Infantry with body armor and the same helmet as the Mobile Infantry. However the helmets are painted green to indicate them as Marines and their uniforms underneath are the same as Fleet jumpsuits.
- In Starship Troopers: Invasion "Mobile Infantry", the K-12 troopers refer each other as "marines".
- In the Spanish version of Starship Troopers 3: Marauder, they are referred as "marines", while they are not in the Latino version.
