The Charlie Squad is a Mobile Infantry unit featured in Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles during the Pluto Campaign.
History[]
Charlie Squad was mentioned on different occasions in the Pluto Campaign, implying the squad participated in operations on the planet Pluto. On one occasion, Alpha Squad leader Lieutenant Razak mentioned the Charlie Squad in a radio message to Fleet Command. According to Razak, Charlie Squad was one of three units dropped on the planet within range of his team. He also mentioned the fact Charlie or the other two units Delta Squad or Echo Squad could have been redirected to assist Razak's squad during an emergency.
The squad apparently had a reputation as being one of the poorest-performing squads in the Mobile Infantry. This was confirmed by Alpha Squad who mostly all agreed on Charlie Squad's lack of skills and common sense. Alpha team's Sergeant Brutto plainly stated Charlie squad "couldn't find snow in a blizzard without backup". The squad was intended to take over Alpha Squad's operation of clearing a sector riddled with bug holes and tunnels. They were to take over this task along with another team named Tango Squad, also known for its inability to accomplish missions without reinforcements.
