The 6th Mobile Infantry Division is a frontline division which saw much action in the Bug War and Second Bug War.
History
When Johnny Rico enlisted to the Mobile Infantry he was sent for basic training at Camp Currie and apon the begining of the Bug War is transferred into a combat unit of the 6th Division Mobile Infantry, for the Klendathu campaign.
The 6th Division of the Mobile Infantry was used at the front for most major battles Between the United Citizen Federation and the Arachnids during this war seeing combat on Zegema Beach, Klendathu, Tango Urilla, Planet-P, and the outer rings.
During an Arachnid offensive in the Second Bug War a regiment (under command of Colonel John Rico) from the 6th Division was deployed to Roku San to intrench and defend a farming region of the planet which had become infested with Arachnids. The Regiment maintained position on Roku San for several weeks until the Battle of Roku San when it was defeated and left with very few surviors who were rescued after the battle when Arachnids had moved on. Colonel Rico survives the battle but it transferred to the Marauder Project which presumably is not part of the 6th Division.
